Boating on a golf course, a desert, mud flats, or even over snow
before skimming atop the ice ... who needs water when you have
a hovercraft? And, Neoteric Hovercraft, Inc., of Terre Haute, Indiana
USA, the world's original light hovercraft manufacturer, has just
introduced a radically different hovercraft: the Hovertrek.
The Neoteric Hovertrek is the most technologically advanced and
maneuverable amphibious vehicle available for recreational, rescue
and commercial use. Custom- designed by Australia's premier designer,
David Atkins, the Hovertrek won the "Hoverclub of America's 1999
Innovation Award".
This exciting hovercraft incorporates unique features that enable
it to access areas that are simply unreachable by any other vehicle.
With precise helicopter-like control, it has the ability to go
in reverse, and is the only hovercraft on the market with effective
brakes.
The Hovertrek has low environmental impact (an ecological footprint
of 1/30th that of the human foot,) miserly fuel usage, and acts
as an extremely stable work or rescue platform. A 55 HP, 2-cycle
engine powers the ultra sleek Hovertrek, which measures 12 feet
long, 6 feet 8 inches wide and weighs a mere 430 lbs. According
to Christopher Fitzgerald, founder and President of Neoteric Hovercraft, "The
Hovetrek has an incredible 120-mile range on a single fill up."
An extensive array of options are available to Hovertrek owners
including: computer controlled reverse thrust for braking and backing
up (a feature exclusive to Neoteric Hovercraft), side-by-side or
in-line seating for 4, a fiberglass hard top 4-seater cabin enclosure,
an easy on/easy off trailer, and communications equipment such
as GPS satellite navigation and marine radio.
Cost efficiency was a major factor in the design of the Hovertrek:
it sells for the price of a mid-size pick-up truck. The hovercraft's
unlimited applications include everything from ecological and wildlife
work to ice rescue, swift water rescue and flood rescue ... and,
of course, a variety of recreational activities.
Neoteric provides free pilot training and maintenance instruction
with Hovertrek purchase. The Hovertrek is also available as a partially
assembled hovercraft kit at a substantially reduced price. Complete
with a 4-hour, detailed hovercraft assembly instruction video,
Neoteric's hovercraft kits give the do-it-yourselfer the experience
of building a hovercraft while saving money.
And, by the way, if you happen to have some water available,
it will hover over that too!
